The former municipal brewery, now a gallery.
5000 m2 - of which 3000 m2 is exhibition area, 1500 m2 studios and apartments for contemporary artists, 500 m2 museum shop and café in the magnificent Renaissance complex of buildings of the former Municipal Brewery in the centre of Český Krumlov.
Within the premises of the Egon Schiele Art Centrum visitors have the unique opportunity to examine a series of original graphics, but also personal correspondence, visiting cards, furniture, scores of photographs and last but not least an extensive exhibition devoted to Schiele’s ancestors on the Czech side, his residence in Krumlov and in particular the Krumlov motifs on Schiele’s paintings and drawings.

Set in the Wenceslas Cellars in a Gothic-Renaissance underground labyrinth of the 4th courtyard of Český Krumlov’s Castle and Chateau, is an international art exhibition of contemporary sculpture, design and jewellery. In this 19th century photographic atelier time stands still. The exhibits of the Josef and František Seidel studio surprise visitors with its authenticity, thousands of unique period photographic postcards, glass negatives, old functional cameras, and photographic darkroom equipment. Seidel’s personal notes, diaries, customer ledgers and original furnishings make the overall collection even more appealing. Open daily.

Český Krumlov history is displayed with rich archaeological, handcraft, ethnographic, and industrial art exhibits. Other treasures: Gothic reliefs, national documents, the Baroque Jesuit pharmacy interior or a unique ceramic scale 1:200 model of the town the Český Krumlov townscape around 1800. All this is only a fraction of more than 30 000 pieces housed in the Museum’s collections.

For several years Zlatá Koruna Kingly Music Festival ranks among traditional music festivals taking place during the summer season in Český Krumlov region.
Zlatá Koruna Kingly Music Festival started in 2003 to commemorate 740th anniversary of the closter foundation by Přemysl Otakar II., the Czech king. During the previous years of the festival the building which is the national historical monument proved to be a unique place for organizing of music productions of various size.
